Woman in peaceful yoga pose on a SUP board

Hola! I’m Maria

Barcelona-raised, now rooted in Thun. After some years as a lawyer glued to a desk, I became a ski instructor in St. Moritz and watched my own body wake up again. On the slopes, I also saw something clear: many people try to learn new skills without really being connected to their bodies. That’s where my study of movement began. Since then I’ve trained in different yoga traditions, applied neuroscience, and astrology—and after over 8 years of teaching, my approach is simple: in class we don’t just work muscles and joints; we train the brain so your body gains strength, range, balance, and confidence that last.

What I noticed
Modern life gives the brain less sensory input and less movement variety—especially through the visual and vestibular (balance) systems. We tend to look straight ahead and move in predictable patterns. With less to work with, the brain keeps our body on a short leash: the nervous system grows cautious, range shrinks, confidence fades. You feel those limits on the mat and in daily life.

Where that leads
If nothing changes, balance, coordination, and nervous-system resilience decline. Stress gets louder; everyday movement feels harder; and with age, the risk of pain and falls rises. We don’t just lose flexibility—we lose adaptability and stress tolerance to move through life.

How I help
In small, evolving yoga classes in Thun, I weave traditional yoga, breathwork, and meditation with simple neuro drills and visual shifts to retrain your nervous system. We create the conditions your brain needs to learn, so strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination improve faster and last longer. Your yoga becomes richer and more effective; your body more capable; your mind more confident and resilient, on and off the mat.

Come as you are. Let’s expand what’s possible together.
